One thing you might be able to do is crop the original scanned image in some kind of photoshop program so that the white part that appears in the post isn't there. Then upload the image with the 'Large' setting.

I am pretty sure that the picture was taken at Myrtle Beach. We always went there when you were that age. I remember following you down the beach so you wouldn't get lost. You didn't seem to mind wandering along by yourself for great distances. Love you, Lynda
